Ford has released a video series showcasing some do-it-yourself projects you can do with the 2022 Maverick pickup truck. The videos highlight the fact that the new Ford Maverick has two concealed 12-volt connectors in its bed frame you can use for a variety of projects, like adding lights to your bedframe or installing an on-board air compressor. It’s all part of Ford’s “Maverick Class” series of YouTube videos.
It’s good, and important to note that the projects Ford showcases will not void your warranty on the Maverick. Nor are the projects are not extremely difficult, and may be a good opportunity for somebody to give electrical work a shot. Every video includes a list of materials you will need to get started and provides correct and safe execution on how to complete each task.
The 2022 Ford Maverick has been marketed as the truck for those who “do stuff and for those that make stuff.” The do-it-yourself videos perfectly align with the go getter crowd the Maverick is seemingly made for. Ford has released other “Maverick Class” videos on YouTube including a bike rack project and side rail project for those that want to get more hands on with their new compact truck.
The add-ons should pair well with the abundance of accessories that Ford has announced for the truck. With over 100,000 reservations for the 2022 Ford Maverick, and it won’t come as a surprise that people will want to customize their trucks to make them feel a little more personal. With 29 accessory options, 60 including different variations, there’s no shortage of possibilities.
Production of the new vehicle is beginning now, you can build and price your 2022 Ford Maverick on Ford’s website. There are three trim levels that include XL, XLT, and Lariat. The XL model is offered at just under $20,000 with an MSRP of $19,995. Its chief rival on the market appears to be only the Hyundai Santa Cruz, which has a higher base price, but offers more power and higher payload and towing capacities.
