Pac-12 cancels Colorado-Southern California game – USA TODAY

Southern California’s home game against Colorado for Saturday has been canceled, the conference announced Thursday.
The Trojans did not meet the minimum number of scholarship players available at a specific position under the Pac-12’s policy.
The game will be declared a no contest.
“Not contesting this game is very disappointing to our student-athletes and our fans,” the conference said in its statement announcing the cancellation. “While all of us want to see our football student-athletes on the field competing, our number one priority must continue to be the health and safety of all those connected to Pac-12 football programs.”
The game was the 14th to be canceled or postponed this week.
It’s the third in the Pac-12, joining the Apple Cup, between Washington and Washington State, and the Utah-Arizona State game.
Colorado will instead host San Diego State on Saturday (5 p.m. ET, Pac-12 Network). The Aztecs’ game against Fresno State was canceled earlier.
Utah will visit Washington Saturday in a newly scheduled game.
